Adopted of God

It was God’s plan from the creation of the world to create a living human being that would live by his holy standards. By the same plan God promised that whosoever would choose life would be adopted as sons of God. This adoption demanded an agreement to obey your heavenly father.

With any adoption agreement there is some form of oral agreement to obey and establish respect between the orphan and the parent to be. The same is true of entering the kingdom of God and the born again procedure. To enter the kingdom of God we must recognize Jesus Christ as Lord and establish ourselves by being willing to obeying his commands.

God’s children will be disciplined until such time as they become holy and blameless in his sight. Just as one can conform to the pattern of the world God’s discipline trains his child to do what is right in his sight. It is not a snap of the finger process as training you in the discipline of the Lord will last a lifetime.

Within God’s plan we are blessed with the position of importance as demonstrated through the love of God. In Christ we have been redeemed through the precious blood of our Lord. He gave his life to forgive sins so through belief it the death and resurrection of Christ we may be justified before a Holy God. As an act of grace he died once for all and more importantly through his death on the cross of Calvary he presented us as sons vindicated of all unrighteousness and blameless before a Holy Father.

At times we are unable to fathom the depth of God’s grace that reached across the vastness of creation to redeem a person indulging in the evil that degrades them. Yet he showered us with the riches of his grace found only in a profound wisdom of love which is hard for mortal man to comprehend. He considered us worthy of his redeeming love and made a way that we may know his immeasurable greatness and glory.

What God planned in the past is being fulfilled through Jesus Christ so that when the proper time came he would be able to unite his creation in Christ Jesus. God’s purpose was that we who put our hope in Christ may bring praise and glory to God. In Christ we were also predestined according to the will of God as an inheritance in Christ Jesus.

We obtained an inheritance in Christ when you heard the gospel of your salvation. Having believed you were guaranteed an eternal inheritance in Christ and were sealed with the spirit of God.

God fulfilled his promise to ensure that we are presented to him blameless and acceptable when you follow the prompting of his spirit. God raised Christ from the grave and seated him at his right hand and the good news is we are guaranteed eternal life in God’s in heavenly places in like manner.

The gospel gives us insight into God’s plan to redeem who ever accepts Jesus as Lord. Whoever accepts Jesus as Lord is born of God and becomes heirs with Christ Jesus. Whoever is born again has an all-important change of heart and the eyes of his or her heart are opened so they may know God's gifts and his call are irrevocable and the hope to which they were called. Romans 11:29

Through God’s plan we are to extinguish the sinful nature and live as children of light. Start with finding out what your heavenly father approves of (Ephesians 5:10) and then do it. Put on the new nature created to be like Christ Jesus with a new attitude worthy of your calling. Make every effort to be patient and completely humble so you may love one another in Christ.

The minds of the people in the world have been darkened by refusing to know the God that created them. They are separated from the life God designed for them and have given themselves to indulge in every form of worldly pleasure.  Simply put we are not live as the world does for they gratify the desires of the flesh and love the very things God hates. Get into the habit of living according to the spirit for the expectations of God in this world will be the way we live in Heaven.

Before the creation of the world God planned for a people that would be holy and blameless in his sight. He foreordained everyone who acknowledged Jesus as Lord to be adopted as his sons through the grace of our Lord. God chose to dwell in our hearts to strengthen us through his Spirit in your spirit so you may accomplish his plan.

On the other hand the people of this world rebel at the thought of being controlled by God but through God’s grace God will not force you to comply with his plan. You are not obligated to know God’s grace; the depth of Christ’s love or be filled completely with all the fullness of God.

God chose us to be in Christ and to be holy and blameless in his sight before the creation of the world. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons.  Jeremiah 9:24 says let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

How can we please God if we ignore so great a salvation and not fulfill a plan that rewards mankind tremendously? God hoped that all would come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the salvation that comes through Christ. On the other hand if God’s plan of salvation is for our benefit then we must turn our lives around to be in agreement with God’s purpose. January 2, 2015
